Established in 1977, Gibson Discount Pharmacy is independent and locally owned by the Smith family. Even though we’re a small-town pharmacy, we offer competitive prices on prescription medications and over-the-counter items.

Gibson Discount Pharmacy and the Smith family have a long and distinguished history in Seagoville, Texas. In 1956, my dad, Charles Smith, founded Smith Pharmacy.

In 1977, I graduated from pharmacy school and joined the family business. We opened a pharmacy inside the Gibson Discount store, which was established in 1938. In 1989, the Gibson Discount store closed, and Gibson Discount Pharmacy moved across the street. We kept the name for its historical significance to the town.

A lot has changed through the years, but one thing has not: We still provide our customers with the same friendly, family-oriented service as we did when dad started the business in 1956. Whether you need prescription medications, over-the-counter products, or a dose of down home southern hospitality, you’ll find what you need at Gibson Discount Pharmacy. We are proud to have served the Seagoville community for 60 years and plan to continue the tradition for years to come.
